Te Waka Kura o Mōhua Pool Rules

No lifeguard on duty.

All swimmers must be vigilant about safety.

  • A responsible adult must actively supervise all children under 18 years old (except for students in training with Principal’s permission)
  • Swimmers must never swim alone
  • Never swim unless the pool covers are fully removed
  • Never swim while under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • No food or drink to be consumed anywhere on pool grounds
  • No glassware is permitted in the pool area
  • Diving is only permitted in the designated diving area of the pool
  • Diving off the board is not permitted during lane swimming time
  • No running, jumping, or bombing
  • No holding under, pushing or screaming
  • No somersaults/flipping off the diving board or side of pool
  • Do not swim under or around the plunge area of the diving board
  • Boogie boards, surf boards, kayaks are not to be used in this pool unless specifically authorised by GBHS staff
  • Avoid holding your breath and swimming long distances underwater unless under supervised training
  • No pets allowed in pool area
  • Keep the side of the pool clean and tidy
  • Be sun smart
  • Ensure the pool gate is securely closed when leaving
