Swim Levels

As an Eel (entry level to our club), I must be able to swim:

  • 8 m of kicking (front) with side breathing
  • 8 m kicking (back) - arms by side

As an Eel (25 min class), I am working on:

  • Freestyle bilateral breathing  25m
  • Treading water
  • Breaststroke kick
  • Backstroke 25m
  • Butterfly (Dolphin) kick

As a Dolphin (25 min class), I am working on:

  • 50 m freestyle bilateral breathing
  • 50 m backstroke
  • Breaststroke arms
  • Breaststroke legs
  • Butterfly body & legs
  • Diving   

As a Snapper (45 min class), I am working on:

  • 100 m Freestyle
  • 100 m Backstroke
  • 100 m Breaststroke
  • Introduction to Butterfly
  • Dives, starts & turns

As an Orca (up to 4 sessions/week), I am working on:

  • 1800 m Breaststroke, Backstroke and Freestyle
  • 30 m Butterfly
  • Reading & working off programs
  • Dive, starts, & turns

As a Marlin (up to 4 sessions/week), I am working on:

  • 2400 m Breaststroke, Backstroke and Freestyle
  • 60 m Butterfly
  • working on times
  • Dives, starts & turns
