AGM meeting Wednesday 14 June 2023

Hi everyone,
Hope you all enjoying the sunshine after a very wet week last week.
Last month, we have come to the end of our swim season and from what I hear our 'End of season Fun Splash night' was awesome fun and brought out some great community spirit. Our coaches said all the swimmers did really well and improved heaps on this very important life skill. Well done to you all!
I have been involved in the Swim Club since I was 5 months pregnant (12 years ago) as a competitive coach trying my best to teach diving with a very round tummy to our teenagers (was quite a laugh). Then went on to coach the beginner lessons and now as the secretary. It has been very rewarding working alongside all the incredible volunteers to make sure our children get taught to swim at affordable rates in our short season.
With that said......I have moved over the hill and will resign from my secretary position for the upcoming season. As most clubs, we rely heavily on volunteers. We are always looking out for coaches and committee members that can contribute their time to keep our awesome club running smoothly. If you or know of anyone that can help with coaching OR if you want to be a part of our committee .... please get in touch OR just turn up at our AGM.
AGM will be on Wednesday 14th of June at 7 pm. We are also having a meeting straight after AGM to gauge any interest to offer competitive swimming to our swimmers.
Please come along and support the Golden Bay Swimming Club....it will make you feel warm and fluffy....I promise.
